It's about that time! 3-12-11

I decided this weeks fishing trip would be to SPSP (Sandy Point State Park), and I arrived at the park at 630am ready to chase the Cows.  As I pull up I noticed there are two anglers already on the beach fishing.  I parked my truck and unloaded my gear and hit the beach.  The sun came up as I was setting up my rods and baiting my hooks.  I could tell that the day wasn't going to be as warm, and pleasant as I initially planned...  :(

11-1pm:  Fast Forward 4 hours, and the only thing to show for my time is a PHAT White Perch that was caught on a 5\0 hook.

I also had a chance to try out my new Gemini Splash Down sinkers..  They seem to work Great!

1:30pm: I decided to go home, and started to reel in one rod when I noticed my rod to the left of my started jumping.  I switched rods, and felt the weight of the fish right away.  I fish was shaking his head while I was reeling him in so I know it wasn't a perch,.  To my surprise it was a nice schoolie.  I didn't measure him but I would say about 24inches long and FAT. This guy was sooooo nice looking, and hopefully all the stripers look as good. Later on a nice guy next to me hit the jackpot and caught the largest fish of the day....

This was the biggest fish caught that day....  Lucky Guy!

It was windy, and cold but it turned out to be a good outing....
