New Tackle!!!!! A braid with tons of promise! Part 1

Today in the mail I recieved a package that I ordered earlier this week.  It was a braided fishing line by the name of WoodStock Power Strike, and from what  I hear it's good stuff.

Here are the stats compared to my favorite braided line " Sufix Performance Braid"

                                                    WoodStock                    Sufix
LB Test                                         20 lb                              20lb
Real World Breakage                     41lb                               30lb
Actual Size                                    .030 mm                          .031mm
Cost (300 yards)                            $21                                 $30
Cost (1200 Yards)                         $75                                  $100+

One thing most people don't know is the Sufix is only a 6 strain braid in breaking strengths 30lbs and up.  So the 10,15,20lb lines are only  a 4 strain line like Power Pro.  The Woodstock also is  a 4 strain line, but I will say the Sufix Performance braid as a whole seems smoother out the box, and the Wookstock reminds me of Power Pro.  By that I mean its a little stiffer than Sufix but it looks like the braid is spun very tight.  When Applying the braid some of the coating came off just like with the Sufix line.  The difference is the coating came off in a powder form and the sufix almost comes off like a paste.  As most of you know all of this is cool but the real test will be when I actually take this reel to the beach and fish hard with it.  As you will see below the braid is installed and will be used for the Spring Run starting this weekend..  I'll update you on this braid after the Spring Run..  Tight Lines..
